July 2018 - US Nationals

My dearest Alireza,

First of all, I'm writing this in English because I wanna make sure you feel every word of this when you read it. I'm sitting in a hotel room, It's midnight, I've been up in this so-called vacation since 7:00 AM because you had an important match at 9:00 AM, but I can't go to sleep without writing these few words to you.

We're at US National Championships and you don't know how many times my eyes have been filled with tears from happiness, joy and excitement... from your happiness, joy and excitement,... from simply being your mom...

You have absolutely no idea, how incredibly proud I am of you. Not just because of how beautifully you have played through out this tournament, but because your attitude towards winning, loosing, people, everything... I'm just in awe of how well-behaved, caring and amazing you've turned out to be. I would never say this if it was only coming from me, but I dare to say it, because almost everybody who knows you and meets me, has something nice to tell about you...

When we signed up for this tournament, you told me my goal is to win U-1600 this year. Today was your last chance to win it and you did it. You got your first national gold medal and you were so so sooo happy. Tomorrow is also your last chance to win U-1800 because after this tournament, I don't think you will be U-1800 anymore.

I love you to death and I feel so beyond words blessed, that from all the things in life that I could have, I have you and from all the things I could not have, I don't not have you!
